Chebucto Terence Bay Community Wind

Welcome to Chebucto Terence Bay Community Wind

Chebucto Terence Bay Wind Field Limited (CTB), a Community Economic Development Corporation, was incorporated in 2011 to develop a proposed wind energy generation facility located on private land, approximately 20 km southwest of Halifax, Nova Scotia. CTB is owned by 36 individual investors from Nova Scotia as well as the Chebucto Wind Field Inc. (CWF) and Renewable Energy Services Limited (RESL). The project is proposed under the Nova Scotia Department of Energy's Community Feed-In-Tariff (COMFIT) program. Project development activities are underway and we have registered our Environmental Assessment with the Nova Scotia Department of Environment.

Once constructed, the project will consist of three wind turbines and would be able to generate 7.2 megawatts. Over the course of a year CTB should produce enough energy to power more than 2,300 Nova Scotia homes with stable, local, and clean renewable energy. A map of the project area can be found below.
